Football Technique Training

Published on August 13th, 2014

WFA Japan LogoLast weekend, 9-10th of August, German’s Technique Trainer Marcel Lucassen gave a basic course to almost 100 coaches in Osaka and Yokohama. Both days started with a theoretical session where Marcel explained the Football Action Analysis Model. After that Marcel introduced how to practice this theory into various patterns by simple training forms. Unfortunately, due the have heavy rainfall of Typhoon Halong not all the practical session could take place on the training pitch. We moved the practical session to a free space with a roof, so coaches were still able to experience the coaching of the details within football actions.

Football Technique Training with WFA Expert – Marcel Lucassen

About 10 years ago a revolutionary change took place within German youth football eventually guided by Technical Director Matthias Sammer. The German FA (DFB) decided to no longer scout and train the traditional strong and fit players but to start developing modern creative players. TD Sammer appointed Dutch football technique coach Marcel Lucassen to work with the likes of Ozil, Khedira, Marin and Gotze developing an exciting new generation of extremely skilful German stars. In the 1-day course ‘Football Technique Training‘ Marcel will demonstrate his technical periodisation approach.

This seminar will be open to the all people who would like to participate. But unfortunately it has limit of capacity, so we recommend to resister as soon as possible.

We’re very looking forward to hearing from you all.

Logo WFA JapanLast month World Football Academy Japan organised 12 seminars all over Japan. WFA Periodisation expert Kohei Sagara delivered basic courses in Kitakyushu, Tokyo, Osaka and Toyama.  All these basic courses were held in Japanese.

After the basic courses Raymond Verheijen delivered several advanced and specialist courses. The 90 delegates who participated in the specialist course are towards to become the specialist of “Football Periodisation”.

This year we have held a Next Gen seminar for the first time in Japan. One Hundred students participated the seminar at the Top Sport University in Tokyo. The students asked good critical questions as one might expect from students.
